Cookies we use

  • lr_consent (strictly necessary, 12 months) remembers your cookie choices so we don’t ask again on every page.

Third parties

  • Cloudflare hosts this site. Like any web host, it processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect the site.
  • Google Fonts provides the typefaces. Your browser requests them from Google, which receives your IP address.
  • Share buttons are ordinary links. Nothing is sent to X or LinkedIn unless you click one.

Stored in your browser

If you choose Accept all, the article text size you pick is saved in your browser’s local storage. If you choose Essential only, it is not saved. Either way it never leaves your device.

Article times are converted to your own time zone by your browser; your location is not sent to us.

Email

Messages sent to contact@thelombardreview.com are forwarded by Cloudflare to the editor’s inbox and are used only to respond to you.

Advertising

The Lombard Review shows advertising served by Google AdSense. No ads are requested until your consent choice is known. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, consent for advertising is collected through Google’s certified consent management platform; elsewhere, through our own cookie settings. If you decline advertising, you may still see non-personalised ads.
